Privacy Policy

Last updated 17 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Neiman Education (“Neiman”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit our website, contact us, attend classes, use our study or student services, or apply for study abroad support. It also explains the choices and rights available to you.

1. Who is responsible for your information

Neiman Education is responsible for the personal information covered by this Policy. For privacy requests, email hello@neimaneducation.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify your identity before responding.

2. Who and what this Policy covers

This Policy covers prospective and enrolled students, parents or guardians, website and study portal users, people who contact our branches, scholarship applicants, and job applicants. It covers information collected online, by phone, through messaging, and in person. A separate notice may apply when a partner university, test provider, or other organisation handles your information for its own services; we will point you to that notice where relevant.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us: your name, contact details, address, date of birth, gender where relevant, education history, institution, destination country, course or test interests, target score and planned test date. When you enrol or request study abroad help, we may also receive passport details or copies, transcripts, certificates, language test results, application documents, emergency contact details, and information needed to arrange support.

Learning and service information: class enrolment and attendance, subscriptions and payments, practice work and mock test results, tutor feedback, placement or progress records, appointment details, messages, enquiries, complaints, and scholarship applications. Scholarship supporting documents may include transcripts or income evidence if you choose to submit them. Job applicants may provide a CV and employment information.

Technical information: when you use our website or portal, our systems may record IP address, device and browser details, login activity, pages used, diagnostic logs, and cookie or similar identifiers. We collect this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the service. We describe optional tracking in the Cookies section below.

Information from others: with an appropriate basis, we may receive information from a parent or guardian, an education partner, a test provider, a referrer, or another person acting on your behalf. If you give us another person’s details, such as an emergency contact, please tell them you have done so.

4. Why we use information

We use information to respond to enquiries and book appointments; advise on courses, tests and destinations; register and support students; deliver classes, practice tests and feedback; assess scholarships; prepare and manage requested applications; process payments and records; communicate essential service updates; maintain accounts and security; investigate problems or misuse; meet legal duties; and improve our teaching and services.

We use contact details for promotional messages only where permitted and in line with your choices. You can ask us to stop direct marketing at any time. Service messages about an enrolment, appointment, payment or application may still be necessary.

5. Our basis for using information

Depending on the activity, we use information with your consent, to provide a service you request or have purchased, to meet a legal obligation, or where another basis permitted by applicable law applies. Where consent is required, we will explain the purpose and provide a way to withdraw it. Withdrawing consent does not undo earlier lawful use and may limit services that depend on the information.

We ask for sensitive information, such as health or financial evidence, only when relevant to a specific service, accommodation or scholarship decision. We will explain the purpose at collection and use the safeguards and consent required by law.

6. Study, assessment and AI-assisted tools

If you use our study portal or AI-assisted practice features, we may process your answers, writing, speech or other submitted work to produce feedback, scores or learning recommendations. A practice score is guidance and is not an official IELTS, PTE or other external test result. We will explain any recording, automated scoring, external tool or material automated decision at the point where it is used. If a decision significantly affects you, you may contact us to ask how it was reached and request appropriate human review where applicable.

7. Children and guardians

Some Neiman services may be used by people under 18. Where the law requires it, we will obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian before collecting or using a child’s information. We limit collection to what is needed for education, safety and administration, and apply extra care to access and sharing. A parent or guardian can contact us about a child’s information, subject to verification and the child’s rights under applicable law.

8. When we share information

Only people and organisations that need information for a stated purpose should receive it. These may include authorised Neiman staff and branches; tutors and service providers who support our systems, communications, storage or payments; universities, admissions partners, scholarship bodies and test providers when you ask us to assist with an application or registration; a parent or guardian where appropriate; and regulators or authorities when legally required. We may also share information to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of our services where the law permits.

Partners such as universities and official test providers may act under their own privacy policies once they receive an application or registration. We will seek to share only the information needed, use appropriate agreements and safeguards with providers acting for us, and tell you when a particular partner requires additional information.

9. Cookies and similar technology

Our website and portal may use cookies or similar storage needed for sign-in, security, preferences and basic operation. If we introduce optional analytics or advertising tools, we will identify them, explain their purpose, and request consent where required before using them. You can manage cookies through your browser and any preference controls we provide; blocking necessary storage may affect parts of the service.

10. Transfers outside Bangladesh

Study abroad services can involve sharing application information with universities, test providers or other recipients outside Bangladesh. Some technology providers may also process information in other countries. When a transfer is needed, we will explain the recipient and purpose where practical and apply the protections required by applicable law. A recipient’s own privacy notice may govern how it subsequently handles your information.

11. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for the period needed for the purpose collected, including the time needed to deliver services, maintain academic or transaction records, answer requests, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Different records may need different periods. When the applicable period ends, we delete or de-identify information unless we have a lawful reason to retain it. You may ask us about the period for a particular category.

12. How we protect information

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information, including restricted access, account controls, secure transmission where available, staff confidentiality, and monitoring or backups where needed. No online system is completely risk-free. If a security incident affects your information, we will assess it and notify affected people or authorities when required.

13. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us for access to and a copy of your information; request correction or completion; request deletion in relevant circumstances; withdraw consent; object to or ask us to stop certain uses; and request portability where available. You can opt out of direct marketing at any time. You may also ask about automated decisions that materially affect you.

Send requests to hello@neimaneducation.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. Please describe the request and give enough information for us to locate your records. We will verify identity where necessary, respond under applicable law, and explain if a legal exception limits what we can do. If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may raise a complaint with the appropriate authority under Bangladeshi law.

14. Third-party sites

Our site may link to universities, test providers, payment services and other external websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. Please read those notices before submitting information directly to them.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when our services, data practices or legal duties change. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and provide additional notice when a material change requires it.
